Butterscotch

A  butterscotch colored nylon doll hair.  A close match for Sheryl Meyer's darker shade, (although ours is not metallic) and for G1 Butterscotch.

This high quality nylon doll hair (termed "low heat" or "standard heat" by other companies) is made specifically for dolls and tends to separate easily into smaller plugs to make rerooting easier. It comes straight from the manufacturer that supplies Hasbro, MGA, and many of the world's leading toy companies! It's the same doll hair used in Rainbow High dolls and the original 1980's My Little Ponies.  Nylon fiber is ultra soft and silky with a beautiful shine. It's supple and holds curls very well.  Perfect for rerooting your next custom doll or My Little Pony!

My Little Pony Hair Matches

Shimmer Locks has access to a complete G1 My Little Pony line from North America and the United Kingdom.  It would be our pleasure to assist you in color matching to help you find the right shade for your next My Little Pony custom project.  Feel free to contact us and we can help with comparison photos and any other information you require.

Please note, original My Little Pony hair is over 30 years old and can fade or change differently with time.  Although we try our best to match shades with the original color, there's always a chance it may not match your pony exactly.

Butterscotch is a close match for the Hasbro G1 pony of the same name.  Please note, every single G1 Butterscotch we have has a slightly different shade of hair.  We sent a tail sample to our supplier to match that was somewhere in the middle.  It is very likely this will not exactly match your particular pony, but would still be great for custom ponies or filling in a couple of missing plugs.
