Hello everyone! My name is Melissa, the owner of Shimmer Locks, but you might recognize my avatar Silverdawn as well. Born in Canada, I moved to Iowa in 2014 to be with my incredible husband and daughter. Without their support and mechanical expertise, Shimmer Locks would not be possible.

I've been collecting My Little Ponies and vintage toys online, buying, selling, and trading since I was a teen in the late 90's. I have a 20+ year history on ebay as silver*dawn and strive to be known for lightning fast shipping, outstanding service and quality products.

As I collected vintage toys, I couldn't resist the beautiful and unique art made by all the talented customizers! However it seemed tough to find reliable sources of hair or places that could provide good color matching comparisons.

With my complete G1 My Little Pony collection, streamlined shipping procedures, and access to original Hasbro nylon doll hair suppliers, I hope to simplify the process and make customizing much easier, faster and more enjoyable for all!
