Nightmare Micro Braids

High quality nylon micro braids for rerooting, custom rehairing, or restoration.  Nightmare is our darkest, true black! Mini braids are 1.5 mm wide and 38 inches long so you can create any length or style you wish. This is an actual three strand micro braid and not just a double twist.  As long as you cut with sharp scissors, fraying or unravelling isn't a probem with these tightly woven strands.  

Remember your larger needles! A size #1 is needed to reroot micro braids, as they are much thicker than the traditional single strand. You will need to be careful to prevent tearing of the scalp with this larger needle size. Only reroot every 3rd plug and make sure to prepoke each plug with an awl or thumbtack right before going into the hole with your size #1 needle. Warming the scalp with a hair drier or placing it on a warming pad can also help soften the vinyl.

This high quality nylon doll hair (termed "low heat" by other companies) is made specifically for dolls. It comes straight from the manufacturer that supplies Hasbro, MGA, and many of the world's leading toy companies! It's the same hair used in Rainbow High dolls and the original 1980's My Little Ponies.  Nylon fiber is ultra soft and silky with a beautiful shine, perfect for rerooting your next custom doll or My Little Pony!

Amount Required:

Estimates are for a finished length of around 4.5 inches (chest length on a regular 11 inch fashion doll), assuming you only reroot every third plug. Rerooting more thickly or longer lengths will require double or triple the amount depending on your desired final length.
