Deluxe Rerooting Kit General Instructions

• Prep & Clearing: After a doll head has been removed from its body, forceps are inserted through the bottom of the neck hole to pull the old hair and factory glue out from the inside. Now your doll is ready to be rerooted!
• USING THE PRE-POKER: Use your pre-poker tool to gently widen or pre-pierce each scalp hole right before going in with your reroot needle and hair. This single step massively reduces needle strain and makes the rerooting process so much smoother!
• The Reroot Tool: The small, lightweight reroot tool fits easily in your hand and features a comfortable, freely rotating knob to help distribute force. If you prefer a pencil grip, the knob can also be removed with a firm tug.
• Loading Needles: Loading needles is easy—simply rotate the lower collar to tighten around the collet and hold your needle firmly in place. Try to center your needle as much as possible for a secure grip that will prolong the life of your needle. If needed, you can use the forceps included with the kit to tighten the collar a little more. Keep the needle length short (no more than 1/2 inch) to prevent bending or breaking.
• Needle Safety & Strand Count: Your kit includes three size #5 needles. Always pre-poke your plug holes first before going in with your reroot needle to protect the delicate needle tip. We recommend a maximum of 5–8 strands per plug/hole to prevent needle breakage and scalp splits, while helping hair lay naturally flat against the head.
• The Mister Bottle: The mini spray bottle is a MUST-HAVE when you begin rerooting. A light misting of water over the hair while you work keeps flyaway strands in check, makes it easier to grab smaller amounts of fiber, and smooths out any minor storage crimps.
• Sealing the Hair: Once the reroot is completed, squeeze some Fabri-Tac glue inside the head and spread it around evenly with a Q-tip. It will dry clear and flexible within a few hours and will be completely waterproof after 24 hours.
